Welcome to the Louis Armstrong House Museum, where we celebrate the enduring legacy of Louis Armstrong and his impact on the jazz community of New York and the vibrant community of Corona, Queens.

Our organization is dedicated to preserving the rich cultural heritage of this community and fostering meaningful connections with our neighbors.

Guided by four pillars, our programmatic vision encompasses preserving the Armstrong legacy, promoting artistic excellence, providing education for students of all levels, and fostering a sense of community engagement.

Our new Center, soon to open across the street from the Historic House, will provide an opportunity to redefine the story of Louis and Lucille Armstrong through a contemporary lens.

Through our commitment to inclusivity, we provide diverse opportunities for fellowships, internships, and music education programs.

In the face of all challenges, this year we proudly celebrate the Museum's 20th anniversary. Through every obstacle, we have welcomed jazz pilgrims and opened the doors of this precious home for historic tours, touching the lives of over half a million people.

Our impact extends beyond numbers—students return as adults, their voices filled with emotion, describing their time here as truly transformative, deeply rooted in culture.

We are proud to contribute to the well-being of individuals and families in our community by providing cultural access, educational opportunities, an artistic platform, and a welcoming space for all.
