Description
This classic Smokey Christmas song comes from the first Miracles Christmas LP, recorded in 1962 but not released until November 1963. This single was the planned release to promote that LP, but because the Miracles were on such a roll a year later with their big Holland-Dozier-Holland-written hit "Mickey's Monkey," it ended up getting pulled at the last minute in favor of the follow up hit "I've Got to Dance to Keep from Crying." As a result, this single is technically "unreleased," because it only exists in promo copies.
My copy of this is very worn and a little off-center, hence why you see it playing with no center adapter. But I did a little manual adjustment, and while it's still not perfect, it's still an enjoyable listen and the only 45 off the first Miracles Christmas LP.
Technically this song was intended as the B-side. Hear the A-side, their take on "The Christmas Song," here: https://youtu.be/rXMLiadlnZc
