"'The Party is the Most Precious Thing' was popularized at the Sixth Consultative Conference of CPC-ML, held from the 26th to the 31st of March, 1979. It sums up in one phrase the deepening struggle to Bolshevize the Party, and to prepare for the coming revolutionary storms." ~ The introduction to the song on the record.
The CPC-ML (Communist Party of Canada — Marxist–Leninist) was (and is) a Hoxhaist (originally anti-revisionist ML) political party in Canada. This song was made to celebrate the Sixth Congress. It was put out by the Canadian Cultural Workers' Committee in 1979 on a namesake album.
