You could have a symphonic rock epic, a silky soft rock jam, a funky dance hit, and a glam rock anthem all coexisting in the Top 40. It was a year of transitions — looking back at the '60s and early '70s, but also nervously peeking toward the future.
This year's best-selling single was "Bye Bye Baby" by the Bay City Rollers which was the first of two number one hits in 1975 for the band from Bonnie Scotland.
