Description
Reupload of a video originally posted by FishyLemonDude, now known as TanchōLime (formerly found at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEujRONOnlsvU0aprhv5KAw, currently found at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3VmiIwXbh7qAUaFsDt_s6Q. The video was originally uploaded at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8azqeX3Jqo on December 22nd 2017, and can also be found on Archive.org at archive.org/details/the-sponge-bob-square-pants-anime-op-1-full-version
The instrumental version of this song was made by DavidSnoopyOfficial, and you can find a remastered version at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7gEarhyu6A
The original instrumental can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6kVxK4qmvE
The vocals of this cover were done by teksy, who you can find on:
Niconico: www.nicovideo.jp/user/1440649

Twitter: twitter.com/teksy_
The cover I've uploaded here was edited by TanchoLime so that it would better match the version used in a fanmade Spongebob anime opening created by the animator Narmak, which can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkL4CjckRZ0 Narmak's upload lists the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLgczICdILI&t=0s as the cover used in the animation. However, that video has been deleted off of Youtube. Using the Wayback Machine though, we can still access it at the following link web.archive.org/web/20170825024413/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLgczICdILI . The Wayback Machine shows that the original song upload listed by the original animator credits teksy as the cover singer.
TLDR: the vocals are from a cover by teksy, this is an edited version of his cover.
Teksy's unedited cover of Colors of the Heart has been deleted off of YouTube, but can still be found on Niconico at this link www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm19348813
The original, uncovered song is named "Colors of the Heart" and is by the band UVERworld. You can find the original track on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8nsqbHNakQ and Spotify at open.spotify.com/track/7vPKB0XXYhWsTjyZ8DAId8
