Saw this on my feed and I saw the original only included JAL 123, but I have 4 cases including JAL 123 that pilots did what they could.. and they're praised for doing what they could to have saved it.

JAL 123 kept flying 32 MINUTES without the stabilizer of the plane. They couldn't do anything to save it from crashing, but they did a damn good job at keeping it in the air for as long as they could

United 232 lost its controls after the engine issue, the 4 man crew navigated through and was so close to pulling it off, but they had a rough landing. Still, many called it an un survivable scenario that 184 came alive from. They deserve their praise

Alaskan 261 was completely out of their control. Ted tried what he could to keep the plane up, adjust the trim, unload the stabilizer, and as a last ditch, fly upside down to try and regain altitude. All unfortunately failed after the jackscrew came off the stabilizer. But he did absolutely all he could, and he's applauded for doing what he could in a difficult scenario, he exhausted all his options.

Swiss 111 might be a surprise for some, but it has good reason for being here. They tried to divert to Halifax first, dump fuel, land heavy, fly manually, but the fire spread to the cockpit. What Zimmermann did was he tried his best to put it out, unfortunately likely passing out from the smoke and his copilot was on his own, where he was too disoriented and flew into the ocean. Zimmermann tried to fight the flames, he acted professional, he didn't make the passengers even know what was going on in the cockpit. He did what he could, and for something out of his control. He did what he could, and they're praised for being professional about their issue.

Rest in peace to all that died in these incidents, you are remembered greatly in the aviation world.
