This is the second of two nights in Oakland / the Bay Area as Bono points out during many songs performed tonight. Although he's in great voice tonight (just hear 'Kite', 'All I Want Is You' or 'Walk On' to get a glimpse of that), there are a few strange moments like timing issues and even more notably, Bono forgetting lyrics a handful of times for some reason. The band is pretty tight but even The Edge hits a dud note in 'I Will Follow' before playing a superb solo in 'Bullet the Blue Sky'. The band is joined by No Doubt's Gwen Stefani, the fourth of overall eight times this would happen on this tour as No Doubt supported U2 on this stretch. The setlist is quite special as Bono offers to play the audience a surprise song after 'Stuck in a Moment', launching into the final ever performance of the B-side to 'Stay (Faraway, So Close!)', 'Slow Dancing'. Later, a fan is brought on stage and starts playing 'A Sort of Homecoming' - despite not remembering most of the lyrics, the band obliges and the song gets played a second time on this tour following the first night in Slane. It wouldn't be heard again until the 'Joshua Treee' Anniversary Tour in 2017.
