For 18 years
i shed so many tears
i was robbed of my innocence
from the the things that i witnessed
pops tried to kill ma dukes
while my brother was out hustling
i swear we was struggling
stealing from the stores just to get something to eat
& it was take it all or nothing cause we wasn't facing defeat
i saw the fast life & prayed that would never be me
cause i saw how my brother lived his life

my father left after that i didn't know what else to feel

face could see the pain from like a mile away
so tired of life i slept my days away

I'm trying to figure out if I'm living in hell

tried so hard to please others i forgot who i was
wanted to be accepted so bad i did shit just because

i cant forgive nobody & i cant trust a soul
I've been betrayed too many times
i done lost so many peers
they killed my best friend
put a bullet in his dome
to many tears have fallen
i can no longer stand the rain
blunt after blunt i smoked away my brain
It took death for me to realize what my life was worth
& to be honest till this day it still fucking hurts

i saw shit you couldn't witness with 1000 eyes
& to live a life like mine you would have to have 9 life's
cause all my life i been around niggas that shot guns
sold drugs & did shit that never mattered
& they told me follow my dreams
but it seems like my dreams are shattered
& wit these two eyes i see the city sky line
where its homicide after homicide
& thank god i had a mother their
cause some of them never had a mother their
just to guide them
the streets became their relatives
now the nina is the only bad bitch their beside them
& I'm trying to figure out where i go from here
do i stay where I'm at or do i go over there?
do i need a Gat in the direction i steer
& am i cold motherfucka for saying fuck all of my peers
& I'm blessed in this life & they ask me how do i know?
cause i arose from the concrete & continue grow
i thought my life was bad till i seen these people roaming the streets
drug dealer on the corner & my brother holding the heat
they wonder why i haven't fell victim to the streets & the crime
cause i feel another mans life is just as important than mine
