This nice rag was written in 1909, for a Panic that was happening at Wall Street. It is separated into four sections, 1. Panic in Wall Street, Brokers Feeling Melancholy, 2. Good Times Coming, 3. Good Times Have Come, 4. Listening to the strains of the genuine negro ragtime, brokers forget their cares. It's a very beautiful piece, defining Joplin's term of "melancholy, classic rags." It's better to play this rag slow, as it tells a story.
