If you have always dreamed of attending a prestigious ball in Paris, The Ball of the Two Empires is certainly the one.

This grand event will take place on April 12, 2025, in the Opera Ballroom of the Intercontinental Paris—the very same breathtaking venue you see in the video. It is one of the most magnificent ballrooms in Paris, if not the world.

This ball celebrates the First Empire (Napoleon I) and especially the Second Empire (Napoleon III), an era renowned for its imperial balls and the golden age of architecture (Haussmannian buildings, the Opéra de Paris...).

The event is open to all. As long as you wish to celebrate France’s history and art de vivre, respect the dress code, and behave with elegance, you are welcome.

There will be waltzes for those who enjoy dancing, but no prior experience is required! Fun and engaging group dances will allow everyone to discover the true spirit of French balls. And if you prefer to simply sit back and enjoy the magical atmosphere, that is absolutely fine too.

This ball is truly world-class and my personal favorite of the season—especially as it is animated by Carnet de Bals, France’s leading historical dance association, which also orchestrates Fêtes Galantes and Bal du Siècle at Versailles.

You will have the opportunity to admire the finest historical dancers in action, including many champions of the discipline, who will also dance with guests during the group dances.
