We Need a Little Christmas is a song by Jerry Herman from the musical MAME. It's sung by Mame, her nephew Patrick, Agnes Gooch and Ito. The song comes on the heels of hearing the news that the stock market has crashed, and that Patrick's trustee is sending him away to boarding school. Mame decides that to light their spirits they all "need a little Christmas! The original Broadway cast starred Angela Lansbury as Mame, Jane Connell as Agnes Gooch, Frankie Michaels as Patrick and Sab Shimono as Ito. This is a performance from the Ed Sullivan show in 1968. Mame is played by Jane Morgan, Agnes Gooch by Helen Gallagher and Patrick by David Manning.
