"We Three Kings" (original title "Three Kings of Orient", also known as "The Quest of the Magi") is a Christmas carol that was written by John Henry Hopkins Jr. in 1857. Hopkins wrote the carol for a Christmas pageant in New York City and it became the first widely popular Christmas carol written in America. This hymn is normally sung during the Feast of the Epiphany.

Lyrics
We three kings of Orient are;
Bearing gifts we traverse afar,
Field and fountain, moor and mountain,
Following yonder star.
Refrain:
O star of wonder, star of light,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect light.
Born a King on Bethlehem's plain
Gold I bring to crown Him again,
King forever, ceasing never,
Over us all to reign.
Refrain
Frankincense to offer have I;
Incense owns a Deity nigh;
Prayer and praising, voices raising,
Worshipping God on high.
