Wenn die Soldaten is a German folk song about military service.

The names of the song's authors have not been preserved. However, the history of the song itself can be traced back to the middle of the 17th century. By 1880, it was already widely known, including in southern Germany.

At the beginning of the 20th century. the song "Wenn die Soldaten" was popular. A German postcard from the First World War, sent from the front in 1916, has been preserved. The leaflet is called "Wenn die Soldaten durch die Stadt marschieren". On the back was printed the text of a song with a soldier's instruction that he did not meet many girls at the front.

In the GDR (Germany Democratic Republic, Or East Germany), there was an anti-war version & Original version of this song. But, because East Germany still sing its Original Lyrics, i think is no problem if i put the Video of East Germany Army.

Nama-nama penulis lagu belum disimpan. Namun, sejarah lagu itu sendiri dapat ditelusuri kembali ke pertengahan abad ke-17. Pada 1880, itu sudah dikenal luas, termasuk di Jerman selatan.

Pada awal abad ke-20. lagu "Wenn die Soldaten" populer. Kartu pos Jerman dari Perang Dunia Pertama, dikirim dari depan pada tahun 1916, telah disimpan.
