After over 13 years on Coronation Street, Colson Smith has officially exited the show, marking the end of his character Craig Tinker’s journey. First appearing in 2011 as Beth Tinker’s teenage son, Craig evolved from a shy boy into a dedicated police officer. Colson tackled several major storylines, including one on OCD, earning critical acclaim.
His final scenes aired on May 21, 2025, just short of his 14-year anniversary on the show. Though he announced his departure in January, it was revealed that the decision came from new producer Kate Brooks. Colson shared the emotional experience of learning the news on his podcast and reflected fondly on the camaraderie and life lessons he gained during his time on set.
Filming his last scenes in March, Colson expressed deep gratitude and bid farewell with a heartfelt Instagram post, declaring his love for the show and thanking the Corrie family.
