MONTREUX JAZZ FESTIVAL RESIDENCY by MJAF
The essence of MJF Residency is to bring together promising and established artists from
different cultures, generations and backgrounds, as well as outside contributors, in the same
venue, with the aim of getting them to meet and play together. All these artists come together
to discuss their respective music and the music world, to learn from each other and to consider
potential collaborations. In other words, it's an educational laboratory organized over several
days.

At the same time, the most up-and-coming artists can present their musical universe at a free
concert open to the public, and at the same time benefit from professional video recording for
promotional purposes. For their part, the most experienced performers offer rare moments of
music in intimate concerts and talk about their career during their public appearances.


MONTREUX JAZZ ARTISTS FOUNDATION
Founded in 2007, the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation (MJAF) is a recognized non-profit
that supports the next generation of artists and encourages exchanges through the universal
language of music. The philanthropic Foundation is the ambassador and protector of the jazz
scene and culture and pursues two core objectives: highlighting and nurturing talented
musicians in the early stages of their career and making music accessible to one and all.

The Montreux Jazz Festival takes place for two weeks every summer in Switzerland, drawing 250,000 music lovers to the shores of Lake Geneva. Since 1967, the Festival has celebrated all genres of music and generated countless legendary performances.
